dc.description.abstract | The objective of this research is to diagnose the importance of new technologies for the adequate service in restaurants, specifically in the Restaurant "Las Velas", located in the city of Manta. The applied methodology it was a mixed approach, that is, qualitative and quantitative, bibliographic, descriptive, analytical and non-experimental in design; The population and study sample corresponded to the staff of this establishment, its Manager and diners, who verified the problem through the survey and interview applied to them, which reflected as results the need to implement new technologies and further improve their services ; It is concluded that they are important for their development, therefore it is necessary that they consider the application of commercial communication strategies that are destined in order to provide the gastronomic establishment as a tourist environment not only at the local level, making it an element differentiating, because it requires the use of technologies such as social networks that increase the target audience and with it, the profitability and permanence of business. | es |
