Gestión turística en el cantón Santa Ana, a partir de la política pública de turismo vigente, año 2020.

Abstract

Tourism is very important in the economic sector for the country, in addition to being an interdependent phenomenon since it prevails directly with the development of the territory itself and makes use of natural resources. At the same time, it generates sources of foreign currency and work, therefore, the different stages of the consumption of a tourist product are closely related where they respect the environment until the end of the cycle, that is, from the stay to the displacement. The purpose of this project is to diagnose the tourism management of the Santa Ana canton through an information survey where it will be observed how the different sectors that comprise it are organized. The methodological approach applied is qualitative through inductive-deductive, analytical-synthetic methods, likewise, this research is supported by bibliographic sources, books and official documents such as: Tourism Law, National Tourism Plan 2030, Public Policies of Tourism 2017, among others that will help the development of this research, through the use of information. Interviews were conducted with different administrators of the tourist establishments of the canton, as well as a representative of the Tourism Department of the Municipal GAD of the Santa Ana canton, these interviews provided key information to carry out the results that demonstrate the lack and inefficiency of tourism management in the tourist resources and services of the canton, in which they must be taken into account by the GAD in order to reactivate tourist activity and local tourism, promoting an excellent image for local, national and international tourists.
