Es pococonocido que además de sus complicaciones más comunes (pulmonares yhematógenas), pueden surgir otras manifestaciones que afecten a variossistemas importantes de nuestro organismo, en este caso nos referimos a lascomplicaciones neurológicas por SARS-CoV-2.es
dc.description.abstractCOVID-19 is characterized as a primarily respiratory disease with varying severity, primarily associated with advanced age, immunosuppression, and preexisting conditions. It is little known that, in addition to its most common complications (pulmonary and hematogenous), other manifestations can arise that affect several important systems of our body. In this case, we are referring to the neurological complications of SARS-CoV-2. To carry out this research, a systematic review of original articles and studies obtained from a database such as PubMed and scientific search engines such as Cochrane was conducted, with publication dates between 2000 and 2021, both in English and Spanish. Studies involving pregnant women and children have been restricted. To verify the quality of the studies, the PRISMA declaration was followed and a flowchart was created of the information obtained and discarded. Abstracts were reviewed, and studies in which participants were of legal age and had presented neurological symptoms during their SARS-CoV-2 infection were considered.
