Abstract

This research project seeks to understand the problem of unemployment and the search for sustainable alternatives for family well-being, focusing on Local Entrepreneurship as a Strategy for Family Socio-Economic Development in the La Pila Community of the Montecristi canton for the year 2025. It is necessary to keep in mind that local entrepreneurship is presented as a viable strategy to promote socioeconomic development, therefore, the main objective of the research is to analyze how the enterprises promoted at the family level affect the living conditions of the inhabitants considering both their motivations and also the obstacles faced, to carry out this research, A qualitative methodology was used with a descriptive approach using semi-structured interviews aimed at a selected group of family entrepreneurs in the community, which allowed capturing from a subjective and contextual perspective direct information from their experiences, perceptions and aspirations of those who have opted for self-employment as a response to their economic needs and others. In this way, the results show that entrepreneurship contributes to solving the basic needs of the home by strengthening family stability, union and joint work, as for the factors is the lack of resources such as access to capital, the lack of necessary training, technical guidance and training that limit their business growth, Finally, based on the results obtained, it is recommended to promote public policies that support small businesses, as well as future research that delves into their economic and social impact at the community level.
