Abstract

In a digitalized environment, adapting to new technologies is essential to optimize processes and maintain competitiveness. The main objective of this is to implement advanced technologies in organizational information management at Aeslit Travel Agency Cía. Ltda. in Manta, Ecuador. Through a case study, limitations such as the use of outdated technologies and manual processes, which affect both operational efficiency and data security, are identified. The qualitative research employed semi-structured interviews and direct observation to understand staff perceptions and experiences regarding information management. The results show that the agency relies on traditional tools such as Excel and USB flash drives, which limits its ability to adapt to the needs of the digital market and hinders strategic decision-making. Furthermore, a lack of training in the use of new technologies and resistance to change are key barriers to Aeslit's modernization. It is concluded that, based on the findings obtained, it is necessary to incorporate updated technological tools that allow for centralizing information and strengthening efficiency in data management. These technological solutions would contribute to the personalization of service and the optimization of internal processes. Furthermore, investing in ongoing staff training is considered essential. This measure will facilitate an effective transition to a digital environment, promoting adaptability, competitiveness, and organizational performance in a constantly changing tourism sector.
