dc.description.abstractThis case study was conducted to investigate the information management process at the "Centro del Descuento" commissary, highlighting the importance of establishing a formal model that optimizes data use and fosters business innovation. Its objective is to determine an Information Management Model that contributes to fostering innovation in commercial ventures, allowing for better organization, processing, and distribution of the information necessary to improve their performance. This research employs a qualitative methodology, utilizing techniques such as interviews and direct observation to understand and identify gaps in information management and its level of innovation in the market. The findings of this case study demonstrate that this business lacks a formal system for managing strategic information, which impedes the identification of innovation opportunities and the rapid response to constant market changes. Furthermore, staff require greater access to accurate and retrievable data, so organizing information requires a specific physical and technological space. This research concludes by proposing the implementation of an information management model based on Chun Wei Choo's model to improve efficiency, facilitate strategic decision-making, and promote innovation and creativity. The implementation of this model, along with audits and training for internal staff, will contribute to unifying and optimizing processes, improving communication, and promoting an innovative environment, ensuring the sustainable growth of the "Centro del Descuento" Commissariat.es
