Abstract

He main objective of this study was to identify and analyse the awkward positions adopted in the tuna canning packing area, using the RULA method as an ergonomic assessment tool. The analysis arises from the concern about the link between awkward or repetitive postures in work activities and the occurrence of musculoskeletal disorders. These diseases not only cause problems for the health of employees, but also negatively affect the productivity level of companies. The results suggest that this particular area is at greater risk of developing musculoskeletal injuries or diseases.
