Abstract

The objective of this work is to explore the effect that immigration has had on the growth and development of Manta City. Analyzing a historical perspective, triggers or events that have made it a city that receives migratory flows, specifically in the area delimited in the east of its territory. The participation it has in the expansion and occupation of land, hand in hand with the growing demographic density in the periphery. That is why it is essential to plan the growth of cities and identify which are these areas with potential and attractive characteristics for the immigrant.
