Abstract

This research is an approach to digital communication and the technological gaps of the rural area of the Chone canton during the year 2020, derived from the history of rural digital inclusion throughout history in the world and the current reality that manifest the existing inequalities around the technification and digitalization of activities of all kinds. The theoretical content shows the background of the work that governmental and nongovernmental organizations have been doing to reduce the technological gaps in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals at the global level.
