Gastronomía ancestral y su influencia en el turismo cultural del cantón Pedernales.

Abstract

The research project was developed in the canton of Pedernales, located in the north of the province of Manabí, and was based on the topic of ancestral gastronomy and its influence on cultural tourism in this locality. The research is descriptive, with non-experimental design and has a transversal cut, in addition, it is of qualitative and quantitative approach, with bibliographic and field method, surveys were applied directed towards the inhabitants of the Pedernales canton, the population was valued at 63. 000; from this value a finite sample was applied for a reduction of the total amount of 382 study subjects located in rural and urban parishes, results were obtained that allowed to know the interest and knowledge of the inhabitants of Pedernales canton about the ancestral gastronomy and its influence with cultural tourism. The data were processed using Microsoft Excel, which generated tables and graphs for interpretation and analysis, and the hypotheses were tested and accepted, thus determining that ancestral gastronomy significantly influences cultural tourism in the canton of Pedernales. Subsequently, based on the results, the proposal focused on designing a multimedia advertising campaign of nostalgia to encourage voluntary interest in rescuing, valuing and disseminating the gastronomic heritage of this locality.
