Zonificación Turística para el desarrollo sostenible de los recursos naturales y culturales de la parroquia Cojimíes, cantón Pedernales.

Abstract

The main objective of this research project was to design the tourist zoning for the sustainable development of the natural and cultural resources of the Cojimies parish, Pedernales canton. To this end, various tools, methods, and techniques were used to collect the information. Among the tools used are the MINTUR files, which allowed the survey and hierarchy of the tourist resources of the Cojimies parish, and the SWOT matrix that allowed to know the current state in which the tourist resources and the local population are through direct observation. Data collection techniques were used to survey the inhabitants of Cojimies and an interview with the vice president of the parish council of Cojimies. Through the results obtained through the research, it was possible to determine the tourist potential of the parish, and a proposal for tourist zoning was proposed through strategic guidelines for the sustainable development of the territory.
