Abstract

In the city of Santo Domingo, northwest of its urban area, there is a area that is topographically homogeneous, its characteristic is determined to be a space of environmental and urban degradation. After a comprehensive investigation, the need was determined that the city has to increase urban spaces destined for recreation and that improve the urban landscape, in addition to thinking about increasing the percentages of green areas in the sector; it that we know improves quality of life standards. Thus, the feasibility of the realization of a proposal for an architectural solution that would consist of the implementation of a recreational and sports park with a sustainable approach. For this, several factors that determined actions aimed at the design of new recreational areas and the recovery through the restoration of existing areas, consolidating the proposal with a sense of appropriation of the space since an area of ​​symbolic fact of the culture is proposed.
