This research shows an overview of the perception of insecurity and violence against women in the spaces for public use of land terminals; It was developed using a bibliographical documentary type methodology. The information of interest was obtained in the first instance through the database of digital portals such as Google Scholar, indexed journals, digital libraries of national and international universities and web pages of organizations such as ECLAC, UN, InMujeres, CISCSA, among others. , as well as the application of a questionnaire to users of the terrestrial terminal of the city of Ibarra taken as the starting context for the present analysis. The criterion for selecting the documentary information was based on the pertinence, relevance, scientific and academic rigor offered by the consulted documentary sources. The systematization of the data was carried out using the content analysis technique. The most relevant results for the public space in some Latin American cities show that: in Lima, Peru, 9 out of 10 women between 18 and 29 years old have been victims of street harassment; In Bogotá and Mexico City, 6 out of 10 women have experienced sexual assault on public transport; in Chile, 5 out of 10 women between the ages of 20 and 29 say they have experienced street sexual harassment; and in Ecuador, 6 out of 10 women have experienced some form of violence. It is concluded that, in terms of citizen security due to its dynamics in terms of mobility and use of transport, in the public spaces of land terminals such as corridors, waiting areas, ticket offices and transport access areas, it should be considered from its design and planning the priority for a safe and effective movement of all users and in particular of the female population.es
