A research work was developed on the grounds of the "Rio Suma" experimental farm, belonging to the "Eloy Alfaro" Lay University of Manabí, extension in El Carmen, of the Agricultural Engineering career, located on the Santo Domingo - Chone road. at km 36; with the objective of evaluating two root stimulants in the asexual propagation of guadua cane in the nursery phase and determining its effect on the agronomic and root parameters; For this, a completely randomized design (DCA) was established with two treatments that correspond to the two types of root stimulants plus a control and 3 repetitions for each treatment, the stimulants were of the artisanal type made from weeds and rice, a stimulant commercial acquired in a store and a witness without the application of any stimulating product. The results determined that there are no significant differences (p > 0.05) in any of the variables evaluated in the agronomic and root parameters, the height of the plants at 56 days was 29.46 cm with a total of 6.91 leaves per plant and an average number of shoots of 1.8 sprouts, as for the number of nodes the plants had a quantity of 11.67 nodes per plant; In relation to the roots, the diameter of the root neck reached 2.15 mm at the end of the investigation with a root length of 27.72 cm.es
