One of the phytosanitary products that can be used in organic farming areas is calcium sulfur broth, which in many places is used with the addition of silica. The cultivation of pitahaya is one of the most innovative in Ecuador and since its promotion, doing it organically stands out as an added value. One of the insects that cause damage to this crop is the slipper bug Leptoglossus zonatus, for which an investigation was carried out with the objective of evaluating the efficacy of the sulphocalcic silicic Broth on this species. It was carried out in the organic pitahaya crop located in El Carmen, Manabí, Ecuador. Different doses of sulphocalcic silicic broth were used, medium 5L/200L and high 7.5L in 200L, with one and two applications, and the morphophysiological characters of the pitahaya were observed, such as the number of flowers, fruits, weight and presence of L. zonatus. The different doses of silicic sulfocalcic Broth did not significantly influence the control of the Bug L. zonatus. It was determined that by making two applications of sulfocalcic silicic Broth with intervals of fifteen days a decrease in the populations of the Bug L. zonatus was achieved. The economic analysis showed that the control was the one with the best net income, followed by treatment 3, which in turn was the one with the highest rate of marginal return, which is why it is considered the most economically profitable treatment.es
