Determinación del componente fibroso del pasto Cuba 22 (Pennisetum sp) atres edades de corte.

Abstract

An investigation was carried out at the Agro Dimeza company located at km 29 via Chone - Santo Domingo, on the right margin, with the objective of evaluating the effect of the cutting age of Cuba 22 grass (Pennisetum sp) on the fibrous component; For this, a completely randomized block experimental design (DBCA) was used, with 3 treatments corresponding to the cutting ages (50, 60 and 70 days) and 7 repetitions for each treatment, in a total of 21 plots of 6 m2. each one, the variables studied in the research were Neutral Detergent Fiber (NDF), Acid Detergent Fiber (FDA) and Acid Detergent Lignin (LDA). The results found determined that all the variables in the studies had significant differences (p < 0.05), in terms of NDF, treatment 2 (60 days cut-off) had the highest value with a percentage of 46.21% and at 70 days reached the lowest percentage with 44.81%, while in the FDA at 50 days of cutting 34.33% of content in the forage was obtained, above the 32.59% reported at 70 days, in As for the LDA with a 50-day cut-off, it reached 4.02% and at 70 days only 3.27%.
