dc.description.abstract | The research work was carried out at the AgroDiMeZa company, which is located at km 29 of the Santo Domingo de los Tsáchilas road at an altitude of 270 meters above sea level, with the aim of determining the chemical composition of Clone 51 grass (Pennisetum sp) at three cutting ages; Experiment that had a location in the parish of Las Delicias, with an average temperature of 24.5 ºC, a relative humidity of 78% and an annual rainfall of 2800 mm; For this research we used a completely randomized block design with three treatments and seven repetitions, taking 500g of green matter for the samples at 50, 60 and 70 days of age. The chemical analysis of the content of protein, crude fiber, ether extract, inorganic matter, and nitrogen-free extract was carried out, using the Analysis of Variance (SC Type III) which indicated that there were significant differences according to the Tukey test (p <=0.05) that according to the results, the cutting age does influence the chemical composition of Clone 51 grass (Pennisetum sp). At the age of 60 and 70 days, a better behavior was presented for the crude protein variable; for the variables of ethereal extract and crude fiber, a better behavior was presented at 70 days with (3.27%) and (38.40%) while, at the age of 50 and 60 days, the cut favors for the variable of inorganic matter, while for the variable of extract free of nitrogen it reports better behavior at 50 days (41.93%) Therefore, it is concluded that the ideal cutting age to maintain good nutritional values and that there is no imbalance in the productive part, it is in any of these ages. | es |
