Abstract

In this degree work we will talk about what the urban improvement of areas entails. using urban criteria of function and form that will be applied to the coastal profile of the San Jacinto beach, where the research was carried out. Urban improvement consists of intervention in areas that require attention, according to the data collected in the survey carried out on site, which produced palpable results on the activities carried out most frequently, being commerce and tourism that in turn generate income for the community, in the same way it was observed that the activity carried out less frequently is artisanal fishing which collaborates with the activities main. Therefore, we seek to promote these activities so that they help generate income by improving the attention provided to tourists who visit San Jacinto beach. To achieve the aforementioned, it is important to define the area that requires intervention, as well locating the main road of the boardwalk which is the most visited by tourists where find the hostels and restaurants. In this area, the greatest influence is concentrated commerce and tourism where urban deterioration is observed which causes the sector to be visited less frequently by tourists, directly affecting their economy. Therefore, according to the requirements of the sector, it is important to intervene and improve its urban image, the implementation of breakwaters that serve to settle sand is proposed and obtain more beach area by achieving the regeneration of the main road of the pier which consists of the design of circulation spaces for pedestrians where no element prevents your journey, in turn areas designated for parking are proposed and there is no accumulation of vehicles on the boardwalk road, benefiting hostels and restaurants located on the coastal profile.
