Propuesta arquitectónica de centro de acopio, procesamiento y distribución de cacao en el cantón Chone.

Abstract

Cocoa has historically played a very important role in Ecuador's economy. It represents heritage and development, and is part of the Ecuadorian identity. For many years years the country has been recognized as the largest producer of fine aroma cocoa, being currently the largest supplier worldwide. Chone has been part of the development, since in his lands have harvested a vast amount of cocoa for export. Just go back to 20th century to corroborate its relevance. Today, cocoa production continues prospering, however, little added value is being given, therefore, the infrastructures intended for the processing of agricultural products are necessary to contribute to the economic development of the rural area in the canton. This work identifies the problems related to the processing and collection of cocoa and the state of the collection centers in the Chone canton is evident. Therefore, it is investigated in aspects related to the spaces necessary and suitable for the collection, processing and cocoa distribution. As well as, the analysis of the conditions that limit and determine the location of the project, finding characteristics to implement, relating the context of the place and optimizing the sector's own resources.
