Evaluación del cumplimiento del reglamento de alojamiento turístico del Ecuador en los hoteles de la ciudad de Manta.

Abstract

Tourism, considered as a tertiary activity of the economy, according to OTM, contributes 10% of the PBI worldwide. In Ecuador, tourism contributes 2% to the national economy, generating employment, encouraging other productions, accelerating the construction activity. In Ecuador, a country with a diversity of regions, the continuous effort to satisfy the needs of national and international tourists has become a state policy. Given that in recent years the growth of tourism activity has increased arrivals, travel and economic flows for tourism services, it is necessary to continue working for the good of quality. However, it is observed that in the country, it is necessary to raise the quality of services, that allows the leisure activity to offer food and beverage services and accommodation according to the standard, the foregoing has determined the objective of this investigation, to evaluate the application of the Regulation of Tourist Accommodation of Ecuador in the 4 and 5 star Manta´s Hotels for measuring the quality of services. This research is quantitative, descriptive type. Theoretical methods of investigation are used; based mainly on methods of analysis-synthesis, historical-logical and bibliographic review and empirical methods supported by the review of official documents and as a check-list instrument. All that made to conclude that the quality of services of the 4 and 5 star hotels of the Manta city is satisfactory.
