Abstract

This Degree Work is focused on the operational design of an FTP server for fast and secure file exchange between the Eloy Alfaro University of Manabí Extension Chone. The main objective is to design an FTP server that improves the information management at the Eloy Alfaro University of Manabí Chone Extension, only by creating a personal key applying security methods, a study of the files that are transmitted the different elements for an implementation successful The main rationale is based on the design of an FTP server, providing information security, as well as the realization of user authentication. The results of the data obtained in the surveys and interviews showed that 33% of respondents stated that the implementation of an FTP server would speed up the acquisition of information, which was corroborated at the time of the investigation in which they were found. some vulnerabilities, which allowed us to verify the need for the implementation of an FTP server at the Eloy Alfaro University of Manabí University that provides comfort, reliability, and security to users.
