La Violencia de Género en las Mujeres en Situación de Calle Cantón Manta, año 2024.

Abstract

In the research titled “Gender Violence and Women on the Street in Manta Canton 2024” it is one of the main problems facing society today. This situation especially affects women who live in unstable homes, where various types of abuse are identified, such as physical, verbal and psychological. This problem not only affects the physical and emotional integrity of the victims, but also has social and economic repercussions. In this context, the need arises to carry out the following research work, whose objective is to analyze gender violence in street women in the Manta canton, during the year 2024. The methodology used includes a quantitative approach with the use of surveys applied to a representative sample of the inhabitants of the Miraflores neighborhood. The total population considered is 400 people, of which 196 were surveyed to ensure a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 5%. As a result of this study, significant data was revealed that can contribute to the formulation of public policies and intervention programs aimed at the prevention and attention of gender violence in street women. The study concludes that it is essential to implement campaigns for the prevention of gender violence. The need for effective intervention strategies to support women victims of violence and reduce homelessness is also highlighted.
