La Migración y su Incidencia en la Inseguridad Ciudadana en la Ciudad de Manta, años 2023 y 2024.

Abstract

Migration is a problem that has significantly grown in recent years due to the constant displacement of people to other countries. This often generates demographic issues in the country of origin, which has an impact on the receiving country. In certain aspects, migration can lead to adverse conditions that may create discomfort and dissatisfaction among the receiving population. The general objective of this research was to determine the incidence of migration on the citizen insecurity in the city of Manta in the years 2023 and 2024. The hypothesis was maintained that the flow of foreign migrants in the city of Manta significantly impacts the current level of insecurity. The methodology used has a quantitative approach. Previous research backgrounds were implemented, establishing that the present research is experimental in nature as it seeks causal relationships between variables. Data collection was carried out using the synthetic analytical method, and the survey technique was applied to 383 residents of the Eloy Alfaro parish in the city of Manta. In conclusion, it is established that in the investigation of migration and its impact on citizen insecurity in the city of Manta, it can be verified that the influx of foreign migrants in the city of Manta significantly affects the current level of insecurity, thus posing a problem for the local residents.
