Análisis de los vuelos comerciales internacionales del aeropuerto de Manta.

Abstract

The present study focused on analyzing the factors that intluence the operation and continuity of international commercial tlights at the Eloy Alfaro lnternational Airport in Manta. Despite its strategic location and tourism potential, the airport has faced challenges in maintaining constant and diversified international air connectivity. The research used a mixed methodology, combining secondary data from official and primary sources through passenger surveys and interviews with an airport agent. The results revealed a positive perception of passengers about the availability of tlights and the efficiency of the processes, but also dissatisfaction with the quality of services, the punctuality of tlights and the variety of destinations. The airport agent highlighted the importance of tourism in the demand for international flights and pointed out the need to improve the airport's infrastructure and promotion. lt was concluded that, although the airport has made progress in the resumption of international flights, it faces challenges in terms of infrastructure, connectivity and quality of services. To consolidate its position, it is recommended to invest in improvements, expand the network of destinations, increase the quality of services and intensify tourism promotion. In the long term, Manta Airport has the potential to become a key driver oftourism and economic development in the region, offering a high-quality travel experience and contributing to the sustainable growth of the local community.
