Impacto de la industria manufacturera en el nivel socioeconómico de Manta, periodo 2016 – 2020.

Abstract

This research work was carried out with the purpose of evaluating the impact of the manufacturing industry on the socioeconomic level of the city of Manta for the period 2016 to 2020. One of the main elements for the development of this thesis work is the statistical information used to quantify the relationship between the variables considered. In this line, the data related to the gross added value of the city of Manta and the branch of activity, agriculture, forestry, and fishing, come from the database of the central bank of Ecuador, “2023”. On the other hand, the information regarding the main fishing industries that are located in the city of Manta was extracted from the website of the superintendency of companies. Information was obtained on the number of jobs they generate, the assets, net profit and amount of sales made. To carry out this research, the scientific method was used in conjunction with other types of methods such as; The analytical method that allowed us to perform the analysis and interpretation of the data obtained, the descriptive method that enables us to obtain precise data, on the other hand the statistical method allows us to reach conclusions by organizing the quantitative data that can be obtained, this method goes hand in hand with the econometric model that allowed us to make a forecast on the growth of the production of the manufacturing industry and the socioeconomic growth of Manta in the next three years.
