La violencia intrafamiliar y las políticas de prevención en la ciudad de Manta, año 2024.

Abstract

This study focuses on the problem of domestic violence in the context of Manta, Ecuador. Through a qualitative approach, the effectiveness of current public policies in the prevention and care of victims is analyzed, identifying links and weaknesses in their implementation, and considering the particular sociocultural context of Manta. The aim is to understand in depth the dynamics of this phenomenon and the existing institutional responses, with special emphasis on the experiences of women and girl victims. The results of this research will allow us to identify the main gaps and challenges in the prevention and care of victims of domestic violence in Manta, with the aim of mitigating the long-term consequences for victims and their families, such as psychological disorders, difficulties in interpersonal relationships and physical health problems. In addition, strategies and recommendations will be proposed to strengthen existing public policies and services, promoting active community participation and the empowerment of victims. By involving key actors such as the Rights Protection Board, we seek to foster constructive dialogue and empower communities to prevent and eradicate domestic violence.
