Análisis del comercio informal en el cantón Manta – parroquia Tarqui y su influencia socioeconómica en la población durante el periodo 2020 – 2024.

Abstract

The present investigative work was carried out with the objective of analyzing informal commerce in the Manta canton, Tarqui Parish and its socioeconomic influence on the population during the period 2020 and 2024, this with the purpose of identifying the impact it has on the lives of inhabitants, the findings have made it possible to evaluate how informal trade affects the population's working conditions, income, and access to basic services. For the research work, a mixed approach was applied that combines both qualitative and quantitative research techniques, in turn a descriptive and non-experimental type of research was used. To collect information, surveys were carried out on informal merchants in the Tarqui parish. Interviews were also used with public sector employees specialized in the topic, knowing their perception based on this problem. The results of this research reveal that informal commerce in the Tarqui parish acts as a mechanism for the reproduction of socioeconomic inequalities, by limiting access to social security, public services and training opportunities, which in turn reduces the productivity and competitiveness of the local economy.
