The main objective is to conduct a systematic review of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in tuna companies in the city of Manta. The methodology used was based on an exhaustive bibliographic review following the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses) format, applying specific inclusion and exclusion criteria to select relevant studies published between 2018 and 2024 in English and Spanish. Metasearch engines such as Scielo, Redalyc, PubMed, and ScienceDirect were used to identify eligible studies, combining keywords related to CSR and the tuna industry. The main results indicate that current approaches to CSR in the tuna industry highlight the importance of integrating ethical, environmental, and economic principles into business operations. The need to balance economic objectives with social and environmental expectations, including gender equality policies, is emphasized. In Latin America, the CSR strategies adopted by tuna companies have shown a growing commitment to sustainability and community development. Additionally, significant challenges were identified, such as mitigating environmental impacts and improving relationships with local communities, but also opportunities to enhance competitiveness and business resilience. In conclusion, CSR in the tuna industry of Manta should be an integral and strategic component of business operations. The adoption of effective and sustainable CSR practices can improve the competitiveness, reputation, and long-term sustainability of companies, benefiting both local communities and the global environment.es
