Abstract

The present investigation seeks to determine the effectiveness of pregnancy in the implementation of Nelore embryos at the María Stella farm with an investigative, quantitative, analytical and descriptive approach. With the help of the implementation of the registration technique, where the variables exposed in the research will be analyzed for a certain period, because at present the reproductive cycle of a cow turns out to be one calf per year in the best of cases, now with the help of biotechnologies and thanks to assisted fertilization, the reproductive efficiency of animals with high genetic value can be increased. Therefore, the present study seeks to understand and validate the embryo transfer technique, which in Ecuador has increased significantly at present. The analysis of the effectiveness of pregnancy in the implantation of Nelore embryos at the María Stella Farm highlights several key aspects of the technique used and its results. A slight advantage was observed in the seeding of embryos in the ampoule (57.14%) over implantation in the infundibulum (42.86%), although over the years the infundibulum has been the most used technique. Regarding mortality, this has been consistently high, exceeding 60% in each year, although in 2023 a slight improvement was recorded, suggesting that the strategies implemented in that year were effective. In addition, a predominance of males was found in the population, with notable exceptions in the years 2020 and 2022, especially in the latter, where no females were recorded.
