Abstract

Nationwide, all businesses require proper inventory management and profitability measurement, highlighting how these factors directly impact business sustainability and growth. Therefore, the objective of this research project was to understand the impact of inventory control and profitability at the Sarita stationery store in Leónidas Plaza. To this end, a checklist was administered to operational staff and surveys were conducted with the manager and accountant to gather data for the research. The historical-logical method was also used for analysis and synthesis, which identified the need to design a digital tool to manage inventories and measure their profitability, as this is crucial for improving accuracy, reducing operating costs, and ensuring greater customer satisfaction at the Sarita stationery store. As a result, it was found that they do not have a detailed procedures manual for inventory management, which leads to a greater possibility of errors and economic losses. Finally, it is concluded that a digital tool was designed for inventory management and profitability measurement at the Sarita stationery store that seeks to improve the accuracy and operational efficiency of the business. This automated system will avoid manual errors, guarantee the availability of high-demand products and minimize losses due to shortages or excess inventory.
