Resumen : The study focused on analyzing the implementation of circular economy principles in family agricultural ventures in the San Miguel de Briceño community, allowing the identification of knowledge about the circular economy and the current mechanisms applied by the community when cultivating the land. To examine the information, a mixed approach was maintained, combining quantitative and qualitative data, supported by the historical-logical method to investigate how the mechanisms for producing and harvesting land have evolved, and at the same time to know the factors that affect these practices, and the inductive-deductive method starting from the direct information obtained from the surveys applied to the owners of the 28 farms in the sector and an interview with the community president to evaluate knowledge and management regarding the circular economy; the SPSS v.22 statistical software was used to measure the reliability of the instrument and the reliability of the results, which highlighted a positive valuation by the farmers about implementing new techniques to improve their production and sustainability, thus verifying that 60.7% of the farm owners have adapted circular practices such as composting, water reuse, and recycling of agricultural waste. However, a smaller group of farmers has a different perspective, showing resistance to change to apply these sustainable models, so it is essential to train them and show them how beneficial it would be to carry out these types of practices. Finally, it was possible to evidence that the circular economy is being introduced in the agricultural sector significantly, especially in the San Miguel de Briceño community.
