Identificación del patrimonio cultural de la parroquia Santa Marianita: caso Manta.

Abstract

The objective of the research is to classify and register the tangible, intangible, movable and immovable heritage assets of the parish of Santa Marianita. This process includes the creation of technical sheets that allow documenting its current state and cultural relevance in the local context. Furthermore, it is proposed to design specific strategies for the conservation and promotion of the identified heritage, involving the community in its care and valuation. The dissemination of the findings will be an essential part, as it seeks to generate greater appreciation for cultural heritage, both locally and beyond the parish. The study used a mixed approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Techniques such as semi-structured interviews, direct observation and preparation of registration and inventory sheets were used. This allowed us to obtain a comprehensive vision of the current situation of heritage assets and understand their importance from various perspectives. As a result, it is expected not only to safeguard heritage assets, but also to raise awareness in the community about their cultural value, encouraging their preservation and transmission to future generations. This effort contributes to articulating the protection of heritage with local development, strengthening the cultural identity and sense of belonging of the inhabitants of Santa Marianita.
