Comportamiento productivo de la abeja (Apis mellifera) estimulada en colmenas de frascos, El Carmen – Manabí.

Abstract

The present investigation had as objective to carry out hives in glass containers as a means of productive behavior and honey harvest, it was carried out in the experimental farm ¨Río Suma¨ of the ULEAM (Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí) in the cant on El Carmen of the province Manabí, Ecuador, it had a duration of 20 weeks, time in which the data collection of the investigation was carried out. The design used in this research project was a completely randomized design (CRD), which were distributed in 5 treatments and 4 repetitions, being thus randomly selected. The bees were of the Apis mellifera genus, 5 treatments were used, each treatment contained different percentages of sugar: the 4 replicates of the treatment T1 (1 water), T2 (1 water: 1 sugar), T3 (1 water: 1: 1,5 sugar), T4 (1 water: 2 sugar), T5 (1water: 2,5 sugar); which R1 and R2 of all treatments were applied to one hive, R3 and R4 of each treatment were applied to the remaining hive, in a completely randomized design. As a result, treatment 5 obtained less moisture percentage with 0.96%, in contrast to treatment 3 which obtained a moisture percentage of 2.45%.
