dc.descriptionEl presente estudio se realizó en la Granja experimental Río Suma, perteneciente a la carrera de Ingeniería Agropecuaria, Extensión El Carmen de la Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, tuvo como objetivo evaluar la influencia del agua almacenada en los Pseudotallos de Musa AAB como riego suplementario en la fase de crecimiento inicial de plátano barraganete.es
dc.description.abstractThe present study was carried out at the Río Suma experimental farm, belonging to the Agricultural Engineering career, El Carmen Extension of the Eloy Alfaro Lay University of Manabí, its objective was to evaluate the influence of water stored in the Pseudostems of Musa AAB as supplementary irrigation in the initial growth phase of Barraganete banana. Three treatments were applied that included: Pseudostems of 50 cm (T1), 75 cm (T2) and 100 cm (T3) in length respectively. The Pseudostems were placed in a hole 30 cm deep and at a distance of 30 cm from the plants. The statistical design was Completely Randomized Blocks (DBCA), with three repetitions for each treatment. The monitoring included the dry season of the El Carmen Canton (August – October 2023). The results obtained showed that there were significant statistical differences at a 95% confidence level in the variables pseudostem diameter and number of leaves. The analysis of the percentage of soil moisture determined that at the time of study the reserve was 15%, which was insufficient for the development of banana plants.es
