The present research was carried out in the province of Manabí, in the El Carmen Canton, Eloy Alfaro Lay University of Manabí “El Carmen Extension” Rio Suma Experimental Farm. With the objective of evaluating the productive behavior of broiler chickens using sea salt in the drinking water. For data analysis, a completely randamizend desing (C.D.A) was used, with 4 treatments and three repetitions for each treatment. An analysis of variante (ADEVA) was carried out on all the variables evaluated and the Tukey test at 5% was applied to compare means. The data obtained reveal that the addition of sea salt to the drinking water of broiler chickens had a positive impact on productive parameters such as weight gain, with a significant increase as the percentage of salt increased. Regarding the feed conversion index, the results show differences between the treatments, although they are not significant (p > 0.05) but if numerical, the treatment with 1.5% sea salt presented the lowest value (1.72) which which indicates a better use of the food in relation to the weight gained, although this difference was not significantly different compared to the control treatment, which presented a value of 1.86. In the economic analysis, the treatment that had the best profit per pound was treatment 2 with $0.65 compared to the control that hat a profit of $0,50 per pound.es
