Abstract

The main objective of this thesis work was to carry out a quality computer audit of the software of the artificial intelligence tools used by students of the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, El Carmen extension, to determine the level of compliance of these tools, which consists of evaluating the percentage of compliance with the criteria according to the quality standards of ISO 25010. For the development of the planned audit, it began by identifying the problem by conducting surveys and interviews. Considering a group of students to determine which are the main tools that are used most frequently and to identify which are the main difficulties that students encounter when using these tools and interviewing the career coordinator in order to obtain verifiable data and thus justify this research work, and with the results obtained in the respective tabulations, two tools were applied, consisting of closed question banks that include students and the auditor for the collection of data that helped to obtain the percentages of compliance with the 4 main criteria to be evaluated, which are functional adequacy, security, reliability and usability of the tools. As relevant results, it was obtained that compliance with the quality criteria evaluated by the ChatGPT artificial intelligence tool had a high quality level while the Canva and Gemini tools had a medium quality levels.
