Abstract

This thesis project aims to develop a web application with a cloud-based database for accounting management at the Unidad Educativa Particular Iberoamericano. The focus is to provide a solution to the issues related to errors and limitations stemming from the manual recording of payments made by parents. These difficulties create inconveniences for both administrative staff and parents, affecting the accuracy and speed of information management. To highlight this problem, data collection techniques such as interviews with the staff responsible for accounting records and surveys conducted with the institution's parents were applied. The collection of this information allowed for the clear identification of the main requirements to implement the solution and address the shortcomings of the current processes. Finally, as a result, a web application was successfully developed to efficiently manage monthly payments. The system enables staff to record payments quickly and securely, as well as to generate reports and prevent errors in information handling. Additionally, parents can precisely monitor their completed payments, achieving a more transparent and satisfactory experience in the institution's accounting management.
