dc.description.abstract | The project developed for After Discoteca's inventory management arises from the need to address inefficiency in beverage administration, which has caused economic losses and growing customer dissatisfaction. The general objective is to develop a web application for managing the inventory of After Discoteca. The desk research focused on the collection and analysis of relevant materials to understand best practices in inventory management. The field investigation involved directly observing the operation of the establishment during periods of high traffic, identifying critical problems such as lack of stock and customer dissatisfaction due to prolonged waiting. The applied research allowed us to develop prototypes of a web application that would integrate the theoretical and practical solutions identified. Data collection techniques such as staff surveys and manager interviews were used, covering critical aspects of inventory management, from product receipt to customer satisfaction. The survey directed at operations personnel consisted of 12 closed multiple-choice questions, while the manager interview comprised 12 open questions to obtain a detailed view of inventory management. The target population included the administrator and four employees of the nightclub, a sample not being necessary due to the accessible size of the population. The results indicated the lack of defined inventory processes and efficient communication, as well as the need for training for staff. This comprehensive approach allowed us to develop a prototype web application for inventory management, aimed at improving operational efficiency, reducing losses due to unsold or expired products, and in the long term, increasing the profitability of the establishment through better customer satisfaction and management. most efficient use of available resources always. | es |
