Abstract

The following document presents an integrative academic project aimed at the development of a web application for Administrative Management in Inspection Departments of the Educational Institutions of the Canton of El Carmen, specifically to control student attendance. Regarding the aforementioned topic, various problems are identified, among the main ones are the manual workload that brings with it data entry errors, delay when searching for a record, the dependency on paper records, the data are not protected adequately, absence of effective communication between school and home. To obtain the investigative framework, the following types of research are applied: bibliographic, field and applied, as well as mixed, deductive and inductive research methods. To solve the problem, data collection techniques were applied, such as surveys that were directed to area inspectors, and interviews that were directed to a general inspector. Based on the identified needs, the web application seeks to fulfill the main objective of helping to optimize the processes carried out within the inspection departments, on this occasion the control of student attendance, that is, moving beyond manual to the digital, simplify manual tasks, at the same time streamline and provide quick and secure access to the information necessary for making well-founded decisions even whose purpose is not only to adapt the web application at the cantonal and urban level, but also to Nacional level.
