Abstract

The objective of this integrative project is the development of a web and mobile application with Cloud Database for Student Evaluation in Elementary Basic Education of Educational Institutions of the canton of El Carmen, with the focus on providing a solution to the problem of inefficient data management in the student evaluation process. For this reason, implementation is proposed as the possibility of automating and simplifying evaluation procedures, thus eliminating duplication of tasks, reducing errors and improving efficiency in the generation of learning reports. This research was carried out with the total population of 66 teachers of the canton of El Carmen, without the need for sampling. Data collection techniques were applied, such as surveys that were directed to teachers of the sublevels of elementary school who are related to the processes of grading students, and interviews that were directed to the vice-rectors who are in charge of managing the academic processes in the institutions. with the information collected, it was possible to know the details about the problems that the Educational Units currently present. The methodology used in this research was based on the Cascade software model. Taking into consideration the use of this methodology, the optimal development of the system was achieved, which complies with the main functionalities such as the registration of Teachers, registration of Students, entry of Grades and generation of Grade Reports. Finally, through the results obtained, it was possible to determine a great difference in terms of the time it takes to execute a manual process in grade registration, thus having greater efficiency and skill when generating learning reports adding the change in methodology.
