Abstract

The project "Construction and evaluation of mechanical supports using a CNC cutter for the TSE program at ULEAM, El Carmen Extension" addresses the lack of advanced tools in technical education, specifically in the Higher Technology program in Electromechanics. This shortage limits the practical training of students, affecting their preparation for the labor market. The goal was to design and manufacture mechanical supports using a CNC cutter to improve resources for students and instructors. The methodology included a conceptual design based on brainstorming, 3D modeling using CAD software, and prototype manufacturing using rapid prototyping techniques. Subsequently, the CNC cutter was used for final manufacturing, evaluating the functionality, ergonomics, and aesthetics of the prototypes. The results showed that the use of specialized software allowed for precise design and optimized resources, as well as validated the CNC cutter's ability to manufacture high-precision supports. Quality control ensured that the final products met the established requirements. In conclusion, the integration of advanced technologies, such as the CNC cutter, not only improves product quality but also provides students with the tools they need to face the challenges of the professional environment, highlighting the importance of updating teaching methods in technical training.
