Abstract

The main objective of the project for the construction of a work table equipped with a TIG welder in the Higher Electromechanical Technology program is to develop and manufacture a work table that allows for more effective teaching and practice of TIG welding techniques, which will contribute to optimizing the quality of learning. The methodology used combines theoretical and practical approaches to analyze the specific technical requirements for the table, subsequently, we proceed to computer-aided design (CAD), where the most appropriate materials are selected to guarantee the durability and functionality of the equipment, finally, carries out the physical construction of the table, integrating electrical systems and safety mechanisms that ensure a safe and efficient work environment. The results obtained demonstrate that the built table meets the necessary standards for TIG welding, providing a safe and functional environment for the students. In addition, it has been possible to reduce the preparation time necessary for the practical sessions, which has significantly increased the student satisfaction during their training.
