Abstract

The present work aims at the implementation of a CNC laser cutting system in an educational environment for the teaching of mechanical models at the Universidad Laica Eloy Alfaro de Manabí, El Carmen extension. The study investigated covers the design, integration and evaluation of the use of this tool and technology in the classroom, with emphasis on its potential to improve the understanding and use of design and manufacturing concepts in students of Higher Technology in Electromechanics and related disciplines. Through the creation of prototypes and the realization of practices, it is intended that students acquire practical skills in the management of the laser cutting system and in the creation of precise mechanical parts.
