Abstract

Caring for pediatric patients with congestive heart failure (CHF) requires a specialized and compassionate approach from nursing staff. This executive summary highlights key aspects of the nursing process designed to address the specific needs of children affected by this heart condition. The objective of the study was to analyze the nursing intervention in pediatric patients with congestive heart failure. It was necessary to theoretically substantiate the study variables, the epidemiology in pediatric patients and its distribution by age groups was determined, and the causes that caused it were identified. The present investigation had a documentary approach, the analytical and synthetic, inductive and deductive, historical-logical method was applied. The study focused on a bibliographic design. The research was developed in several stages, including the formulation of the scientific problem, the search for information related to the topic, its definition, the organization of the information obtained and its analysis. Inductive and deductive reasoning techniques were used to understand historical information and analyze the data obtained. It is concluded that the nursing process designed for pediatric patients with CHF highlights the importance of a holistic and personalized approach, which allowed the design of an educational program on risk prevention of congestive heart failure in pediatric patients. Diligent application of this process will significantly contribute to improving the quality of life of these children and optimizing clinical outcomes, allowing for comprehensive, patient-centered care.
