Resumen : HELLP syndrome is an obstetric complication described in 1983 by Weinstein and characterized by the presence of hemolysis and elevation of liver enzymes. This is a clinical entity considered a variant or complication of severe preeclampsia (PE). Objective: To carry out bibliographic reviews on the nursing role in postpartum women with HELLP syndrome. Methodology: The modality of this research is non-experimental, since we worked with the results obtained from advance research which are related to the topic to be investigated entitled nursing role in postpartum women with HELLP syndrome. Results: Through the research process on the role of nursing in postpartum women with HELLP syndrome, methods of analytical-synthetic, descriptive and deductive studies were applied, through which a list of retrospective studies that were chosen were determined. databases such as: Scielo, Elsevier, Dialnet, Google Scholar, Lilacs, WHO Database, PAHO and MSP. These are sources of scientific and original articles that are important to support this study. Conclusions: Through all the reviewed articles obtained from the different databases, it was known that nurses need to receive training more frequently to improve care for pregnant and postpartum women with HELLP syndrome. Recommendations: Carry out frequent training for nursing staff, since this will make it possible to evaluate their level of knowledge about HELLP syndrome.
Descripción : El síndrome HELLP es una complicación obstétrica descrita en 1983 por Weinstein y caracterizada por la presencia de hemólisis, elevación de enzimas hepáticas. Se trata de una entidad clínica considerada como una variante o una complicación de la preeclampsia (PE) grave.
