Abstract

The nursing staff is characterized by being multidisciplinary, rigorous, attentive, assertive, ethical, faithful in their principles and functions of care, among many other qualities. When it is affected by both internal and external factors related to the intervention in the health service, malicious incidents occur that affect the work performance of nurses. A cross-sectional ambispective descriptive study modality was followed. A critical reading of scientific articles was carried out to classify them according to the selected indexed database such as PubMed, Virtual Health Library, Elsevier and ScienceDirect, about the care and effects given in health facilities based on health instances in Latin America. The results obtained from 76 research articles that were part of the research indicate that the highest percentage of incidents in Latin America is based on internal conflicts that affect the nursing professional. In conclusion, the needs for improvement that are generated by the nursing professional in health establishments are caused by multiple factors detailed in the research, which is why the health care service requires greater interest and performance by nurses, thus resulting in an improvement in the interventions provided for the user and their health.
