Abstract

The present work discusses how Ecuadorians can access sponsorship and free legal advice, as protected by our Constitution of the Republic of Ecuador, which is provided through various entities, in this case we will focus on the services provided by the Free Legal Clinic of the "Eloy Alfaro" Lay University of Manabí, an institution attached to the Public Defender's Office, who together protect the Rights and Guarantees of citizens in the most efficient and effective way. In the present work, the methodology applied was, the logical legal deduction, as well as an empirical method, from the results obtained it emerges that citizens have free access to justice through the Free Legal Clinics of the Universities of Ecuador in different branches of law such as food, civil, labor, etc. Through the Free Legal Clinics, it is achieved that many citizens, due to their socioeconomic conditions, do not have the risk of being left in a defenseless situation, this being positive for the development of the application of the laws in a more equitable and egalitarian manner.
