El Estado y su responsabilidad en la Seguridad Social en el Ecuador.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to understand how social security was born and to establish an analysis of the current situation of social security in Ecuador, security that must guarantee the right to health, medical care, among others, with the State being the one that guarantees the protection and social well-being of citizens, in which it must execute policies that allow a full guarantee in social and economic services. It is essential to highlight that in recent years, the social security system has presented certain difficulties generating various deficits that in one way or another are currently worrying. Studying social security allows us to understand that this system has had deficiencies in economic sustainability, rational use of resources, among others, the IESS as part of the social security system, must guarantee the fulfillment of this right, including most of the population in this system, with the objective that they can access the different social and economic services. In the research process, it was shown that social security is a fundamental right, recognized in the legal system. In order to meet the stated objective, various methods were used such as: deductive, inductive, analytical, synthetic, bibliographic, case study, and with the application of the methods, results were obtained that allowed us to identify the various situations that the social security system contributes to in the Ecuadorian legal field.
