Análisis de la percepción que tienen los turistas que visitan manta en época de pandemia.

Abstract

The world was shocked in early 2020 with the start of a pandemic for which no one was prepared. Under this idea, the study in question seeks to demonstrate the behavior of tourists who visit the city of Manta before and after the impact of the pandemic, which has left the population feelings of sadness, helplessness, uncertainty, due to all the restrictions , biosecurity protocols and because they feel that the different governments (local and national) do not offer the necessary guarantees to feel comfortable and safe. The objective of this research is to know the impact of the pandemic in the tourism sector, taking into account the perception of visitors who have made use of the services, be it accommodation, restoration or recreation of natural areas in the city of Manta. In order to obtain this information, surveys were conducted with a certain number of people who had mobilized in previous months in the city and interviews were carried out with professionals in the sector, which allowed us to expand our knowledge of the reality in the current situation. Thanks to these results, the behavior and activities that tourists have when they arrive in the city were reflected, whose main motivations for the most part are rest, entertainment, and recreation; Regarding trips to future destinations, it is intended to make a tourist trip in the coming years.
