Análisis de las políticas turísticas vigentes para el desarrollo del sector turístico de Manta.

Abstract

Manta is one of the most economically dynamic cities in the Manabí province due to its industrial, commercial and tourist activities, both because it is visited by many foreign and national tourists and because there is a large number of natural and cultural attractions. The present research project aims to analyze the current tourism policies in the 2030 tourism plan of Manta, Manabí province, in such a way that it can also contribute to the improvement of the tourism sector and the economic development of the city. From the methodological point of view, it was approached as a quantitative and qualitative work, supported by surveys and interviews that was developed from the application of data collection instruments. These techniques used were aimed at the inhabitants of the city of Manta, in which it was possible to show that there is little knowledge about current tourism policies, as well as the impact on their compliance due to the fortuitous emergence of COVID-19. The proposal of a training workshop serves as a comprehensive development instrument that encompasses and considers all its participants as benefactors of its realization, increasing participation in new strategies or approaches that allow greater progress in the tourism sector.
